Amazing, why do liberals think criminals would go along with any new law they enact. New laws only affect people who will obey the law!

Yes...because the criminals that use their stolen firearms to commit violent crimes will just give up since they don't want to insure their illegal arms. This only does one thing: makes practicing the second amendment something only wealthy people can afford(which would not pass). It's ironic that requiring an ID to vote is too much of a burden for poor people, but all the fees they want to place on owning/carrying firearms are "reasonable."

So Adam Lanza would not have stolen his moms guns killing her and those kids because he did not have insurance??? Are these people for real?
there is only one real way to solve all these stolen gun mass killing problems that is fingerprint enabled locks on guns

If, and ONLY if... one could demonstrate that there were a high number (and I mean significant number) of injuries caused by lawful gun owners...injuries where the gun owner was legally liable to take care of the damages...AND they were not taking financial responsibility for said injuries, then you might have a good case for mandatory liability insurance for gun owners.

Since none of these factors are even remotely in evidence, then this idea is based on nothing but a feel good control idea.

I can see something crazy like this stick.

You have to declare gun ownership, to which they apply a premium, or lie - whereby they immediately cancel your other policies if they find you haven't been truthful.
