I've seen a few this year myself. Just black snakes tho.
Cleaning up a brush pile in one of my customers lawns sunday, wife scared up a couple of babies didn't get to see them but I snagged a couple of copperheads there last spring when we were removing dead limbs and leaf piles.
Still around, but in various pieces! Got the hide curing.
From the looks of the pic, it's a rattle tail, correct? Have Traxxis make you some custom grips. kinda nifty.

what kind was it I can't see the tail and the markings resemble a gopher snake.
4' velvet tail. 7 rattles plus button. When the hide's cured, I'll be contacting Traxis.
How'd you guys kill it? If you don't mind sharing.
Just used a shovel. The only time I ever kill a snake is if they are poisonous and around my house. Unfortunatly, we do have a lot of rattlers and copperheads in this area.
