So, I'm standing at the ammo counter at the local Wally World today.
I ask the guy about a box of Perfecta that I see.
Thought it was 357, but it was .38.
Marked 14.98 a box of 50.
guy said, well if you want some cheap .357, I have some in the counter on clearance.
He opened the counter and put up some Remington JHP 357s. 50 round box.
"How much?"
"Seven dollars"
"Say again?"
"Seven dollars"
"Yeah, I'll take that. How many do you have?"
"I have three of them. I have two of the 100 round boxes"
"OK. I'll take those three. How much for the 100 round boxes?"
"Fifteen dollars."
"OK, I'll take those also. How many do you have?"
"Two".
"OK, I'll take 'em."
"Man, my manager is going to be so happy. He didn't think we would ever be able to get rid of these."
So then I notice that he has some .40 cal PDX1 defender in the same cabinet.
"So, are those black boxes of ammo on clearance also?"
"Yeah."
"How much?"
"Seven dollars."
"Um, How many do you have?"
"Seven"
"OK, load me up."
"Too bad you weren't here for the big boxes"
"huh?"
"Yeah, those big yellow boxes of 250 bullets each. We were clearing those also."
"You don't have any of those left do you?"
"No, they went pretty quick."
And all this ammo was locked up behind the counter. Not marked. Not a hint of "clearance" ammo anywhere.
Might just be worth asking in the future.
So....
for the .357--350 rounds for $51.00
for the .40 PDX1---140 rounds for $49.00
