This is a long shot, but I'm looking for a Fender Stratocaster 1969 with a maple neck.

Here are a couple that Reverb has. I'd rather buy from an individual. Reverb kicks both the seller and buyer in the pocketbook.

Not an actual 69 model.

I watched a live auction back in 2019 where David Gilmour's black strat brought $3,995,000 which was a record at the time. Later Kurt Cobain's guitar went for around $8,000,000. At Gilmour's auction the empty case that the black strat traveled in brought $200,000. The cheapest guitar was thought to bring maybe $400. The lowest amount paid for any of the 146 guitars was $32,000.
Jerry Garcia’s wolf sold for 1.9 million about 7 years ago. A friend sold his 1958 Gibson semi hollow body for 25k about 12 years ago.

Does anyone have one of these or know of one that may be available for possible sale. Color is not important. Tweed case would be a plus too.
Might try Honest Ron’s here in okc. If doesn’t have one, he can probably point you in a direction. He’s a luthier and deals in vintage stuff for along while.

We’re kindred spirits! The ‘69 strat will be the proverbial needle in a hay stack.

“Honest” Ron Lira (Honest Ron’s Guitars) retired but he would be the guy I would try to reach out to. Though he did some work for me I don’t know his current contact information.

Best of luck!
Dang, I recommended him. Didn’t know he hung it up. I may be able to get his number through a friend.

A friend put this one together for me. Very light body with a sweet playing maple neck with amber tint and a set of Fender Custom Shop 69 Abby Eberra signed pickups in a light mint green pickguard.
Best sounding Strat I have ever played and my #1 for gigs.
After having lots of trouble getting my Mesa and Fender tube amps serviced I bought this Roland/Boss Nextone Special Tube Logic amp.
It is so versatile and has a huge pallet of cool tones it can do.
That orange stompbox is a Greg Koch signed Gristle King distortion and boost pedal I bought from Greg when he played OKC last year.
Try Guitar House of Tulsa for the vintage Strat or maybe Rumble Seat Music in Nashville. A correct 69 will be pricey. Maybe Wildwood in Denver or Chicago Music Exchange.
