Superdave,

Out of curiosity why are there never any dealers at gun shows who are willing to simply run NICS checks for private transactions? I know there will be a lot of yelling but I am talking about individuals who voluntarily want to run a NICS before selling.

Is there too much paper involved?
Is there no provision for doing this without the dealer "taking Possession" of the weapon on his books before running the check?

Educate me.

VR,

John

Your right SuperDave. It does not help the 2A community's image. I personally as a private seller would think twice before selling a gun to someone with a tattoo like that on their face.

Listening to your gut when it comes to a firearm transaction is not profiling. Dude had gangbanger written all over his face. Well, sorta all over.

Isn't it funny how this wouldn't even be brought up if it were a car being sold and the buyer had a DUI conviction?

That's different,(especially if you're a city councilman or County Commissioner). If we took DUI seriously and cut down on the repeat offenders some "important people" would suffer economically.
