I call BS, never heard of such a thing. What am I missing?

In Oklahoma, the laws regarding air guns are quite stringent. To hunt with an air gun or even purchase ammo for it requires a license. Further, adults over 21 can apply to get a concealed carry permit which grants them permission to legally transport their weapons in public places like parks and shooting ranges.
======

If you are using an air gun that is powered by a spring or rubber band, then there’s no need to register it with the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation (ODWC). But if your weapon operates with CO2, registration is mandatory.
======

Failing to comply with air-gun laws can result in legal consequences within the state. Before using your air gun, make sure you register it through the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation – because if you don’t, owning or using an unregistered one is illegal here, even when obtained legally from another state!

Yeah, I don't think so.

As far as hunting is concerned, maybe they are talking about air powered arrow rifles? Those were legalized for deer, but I couldn't find anything requiring registration.

If you google "Oklahoma airgun license" you should find links on how to apply for or get one, but you don't. You get links to SDA and other firearms laws.

I can't imagine anyone would label Oklahoma as "quite stringent" on regular firearms laws, let alone airguns, so I think most of that article is incorrect.

That's what I'm thinking. I did several searches including the ODWC and couldn't find anything.
I guess the Internet is not always right, my world is crumbling!

There was a question a couple or three weeks ago about whether you needed an FFL to sell a firearm to a non-resident, I did some googling and found 5 articles that said you need an FFL for that, and one that said you don't. Most of what the one article said was contrary to what I've always thought, and to the other articles, so I guess you can find about anything.

Did you know that if you type "google" into google it will break the internet?? :pms2:

(That's an old joke from the British Sitcom "The IT Crowd")
