I'm not interested in increasing taxes on everyone in OKC when Thunder tickets are expensive an unapproachable. Downtown has changed a ton in the last decade: Scissortail park and the whole downtown rejuvenation has been great for the economy and OKC has grown from the 34nd to the 20th largest city in the US... but frankly this state does not deserve anything.

On July 2, 2008, Bennett's ownership group reached a settlement agreement in the lawsuit filed by the city of Seattle, thus allowing the franchise to move from Seattle to Oklahoma City." The moral of the story is, Bennett relocated the team before, he will relocate the team again if he does not get a new arena. I am not for nor I am against the sales tax for the new arena. IF a new one is needed, build it in a new location. Keep the Paycom center for other events.
The vast majority of the OKC population has no intent of visiting the arena new or not. Only a select few do visit regularily. We don't need any further unnecessary taxation and in my opinion, Mayor Holt is simply want to leave a legacy when he departs as every other mayor has done.
Take the money and establish a trade school for those who are unable or don't have a job to ensure that they are job-functional. That would pay dividends for evveryone, taxes paid, lower crime, induce others to come to Oklahoma city, safer neighborhoods-you name it.

Don't know where you get your information because Paycom is in the middle of NBA arena sizes. That said, I hate basketball so I will be a no vote.
Hasn't crime increased in OKC since they brought the Basketball here? Based on the news it apears as if it is true but they always report the worst. But on the other hand, they have had an awful lot of shootings around that area in recent years. Gotta be a reason, where ya gonna go on a Saturday night if you want to be shot?
If you’re going to a Thunder game, you can’t even bring a sharp spoon with you. It’s a huge target-rich environment if you’re a criminal.
The group who bought the Sonics is from OKC. Don’t you think they wanted to bring the team here and used the arena in Seattle as an excuse? I doubt they’ll move the team. Sell it, maybe. But they won’t move it.
