Well, it was huge and very well attended. Got in 4.5 miles of zigs and zags to see 99.2% of the tables. Prices were what I expected. Lots of wood and blued. Everyone seemed happy to be spending money from what I could tell. I did get there later than normal ~ 10:45 and had to park about Chouteau and walk the rest.

My gf and I spent about 5 hours there yesterday starting around 10:30 AM. We thought the crowd was on the light side of moderate, thinning out considerably by the time we left, which is what we’ve seen in past recent shows. I’m sure if the Cackler had won the election, the place would have been packed with people shoving money at the ammo and AR-15 vendors. So it was nice to see people relaxed and smiling at this show. We were not there to spend money, but we did walk out with an O-Light flashlight and a pair of custom ear plugs for my gf to use at work, and she bought me a Tactical Girls calendar - at her insistence. No hidden meaning or reading between the lines here, folks

My buddy from out of town asked me to check on M1 Garand prices, so I didn’t really pay attention to any other prices. The Garand prices I did find ranged from “good deal” to “I want to know what he’s smoking” - about like what you’d expect at the big show. The really cool thing I came across was a Springfield Armory Inc. M1A that was assembled in Devine, TX - so it was an early production item, with mostly USGI surplus parts, and it had a very low SN to boot. It was on a table with a German-made HK 91 tagged at $33K and a… I want to say a FAL, but I don’t recall, so maybe someone here can chime in if they saw it - that looked like a full auto version, priced at $31K. I don’t know much about those platforms though, and I was more interested in the Devine M1A.

We had a good time!

ETA: We stopped by the Expo to drop off something with a vendor, and we got there about 11:30 AM. Yesterday, we parked in the infield of the horse track to the east, and it was half full. Today when we drove through, it was completely empty, and the vendor said today that it was very slow. While that’s not good for those who set up at the show, in a way it’s kinda good news - it means Americans are feeling better about their 2A rights now that Trump is going to be President. Had it been Kamala, I dare say the show would have been packed both days with panicked buyers a la Obama in 2008.

I was there yesterday, seemed pretty thin. I talked to a buddy that has several tables at every show and he said Saturday it was a blowout. Sold a ton of stuff.

Saw some cool guns, didn't take one home.

Saturday was pretty normal. Sales were good. Not great.

Sunday was the worst Sunday in many years. Lots of vendors agreed.

I think the beautiful Sunday weather hurt the show.
