Losing a dog is sometimes worse than a person..I feel your sorrow. Getting choked up typing..

sorry for your loss, i faced this twice last year. did not think i could ever have another, until my daughter and grandkids showed up with a puppy for Christmas. hard to say no to the grandkids and puppy breath

Its tough, and I'm truly sorry to hear of your loss. We lost Stormy back in 2003, and haven't been able to get another dog since. My prayers go out to you in this hard time!!

Thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers. I started to go out and feed her when I got home. That's going to be a hard habit to break. Our dinner "dates" at night allowed me to unwind a little and helped me forget about work. My wife has been crying all day about this. But that's life. We had 15 wonderful years with her, and memories will be cherished.

Got home from work this morning and gave Chopper a bigger hug than usual! I always take him out when I get off work and spend time with him before I crash out! Hang in there!
