Technically a revolver is not a pistol, but a derringer or single shot is, so is a semi auto. I know that I am being technicaland that is not what was intended by the poll.

Point taken - I sorta meant "non-long gun" I guess, though that's not quite right either since there's a lot of ... humm ... "pistol and wheel gun" ammo fired from rifles and carbines too.
