Well, the knife part is good, I suppose. But only 6cm / 2.26" ?? So I still can't carry a 2.5" knife, but my 7" screwdriver is still okay. Makes sense.
And I'm not sure allowing golf clubs on is a good idea from a overhead-bin-packing standpoint...

Get off my lawn.
I left my belt on in January at the security station and after they molested me with x-ray radiation, they touched me funny on the stomach. It was weird. I looked the feller in the eye and said, "You're going to grope me now, aren't you?" He was not amused. Luckilly we were like 2.5 hours early and I was feeling frisky. :D

If they are going to make it awkward for me, then I make it awkward for them.

There has been some discussion about this on various boards. This is basically a change in TSA to fall in-line with the international standards of EU and what not (and they already have stupid-laws regarding knives - small blades with no locks... sound familiar). Apparently when International passengers arrive in the US, they have to go through a bunch of crap if they have items that are allowed internationally, but not in the US. I've heard a number of standards from TSA are going towards matching International standards. I don't view this as a good thing necessarily.

It sucks that locking knives aren't included, but what I find interesting is that there don't seem to be any restrictions on autos (other than the fact that I don't know of an auto that doesn't have a lock).

Looks like I'll be keeping some of my traditionals I was thinking of selling off now - and it might be time to pick up a Spyderco UK Pen Knife or a Spyderco Urban.

The naked body scanner i went thru on Tuesday revealed I had sunthin in my front right pocket. After turning this pocket inside out I was still frisked. Yep. Nuthin was in there. At least now I'll be able to take my plastic whiffle ball bat with me again! :)
