Virtually all football (and other sports) sportcasters suck, primarily because they think, or have been told, that it is up to them to make the game exciting. They've lost, if they ever had, the ability to accept the game for it's own excitement and to report it as it happens.

Their job should be to tell us that which isn't obvious, keep us informed as to what's happening off the field of play and explain the issues as they come up.

Invariably, when a team has momentum, it's the greatest team since they first made sliced bread. Then, if the other team begins to get the upper hand, they get all the accolades.

Remove the words "great", "huge" and any word with "est" at the end of it and they wouldn't have anything to say.

Sorry for the rant. It's your fault. I didn't start this thread.

You missed my point, I am NOT whining that we are not going. My point is that we let the OSU game get away from us by fumbling the ball away on the winning drive and not stopping OSU. We didn't get the job done. If OU gets the nod like we all think they will then they deserve it. I may not like OU going since I would have preferred A&M or OSU but OU deserves to go. Stop making it sound like I was whining because I wasn't. No get back to Walmart and get yourself another OU hat.

Somebody is butt hurt, Im sorry. I don't get my OU gear from Walmart but nice ignorant try. :tounge2:

Even though I don't understand the relevancy of your comment, let's compare non-conference schedules....

So....don't go throwing rocks at A&M's non-conference schedule when OU's was no better and maybe worse.

Still, the relevancy of you comment is lost.

all the teams OU played were div 1-a teams

A&m played 2 div 1-a and 2 div 1-aa teams... the relevancy of your comment is lost..

Brent is trapped in a world he never made. He just wants to sell you a cheeseburger or a great big bottle of beer.
He's lost in the wilds of hollllywoood.
Don't blame him.

You should blame yourself.

Not true. SFA is a 1-AA school while the others are 1-A.

This thread was not intended to to get into a pissing match about OU vs A&M and I don't know why a couple of you took it there.

The original points were basically I can't stand Musberger and A&M didn't get the job done versus OSU. That said we did get the job done against OU, do you remember that? Yep, OU had beaten us several years prior to that but the only one that matters is the last game played. The Aggies beat the Sooners in that one 33-19. As much as Sooners annoy me I will still be pulling for them to beat Nebraska (who we also beat).

The other is that my beloved Aggies will be sitting at home next Saturday even though they beat both teams playing in the Big XII Championship game and finished in a three way tie with OSU and OU. It all goes back to the turnovers in the OSU game including the fumble when we were in position to kick the winning field goal. Great season none the less considering where we have been for the last ten years.

You cant really use the who beat who logic for two reasons. Oklahoma Sate beat A+M and Oklahoma beat Oklahoma State so that just puts you in a big circle. Missouri beat both A+M and Oklahoma so they should be playing in the Championship game.

BCS is used unless teams are ranked within one spot. If they are within one spot then head to head is used. So if A+M were 10 and OU 9 then A+M would have the tiebreaker. The reason the Big 12 uses BCS is so the teams with the best chance of going to the BCS title game play in the championship.
