Ellis island was used to weed out the sick, lame and criminal elements from immigrants back in the day. It’s a shame we don’t do that now.

It was good enough for my Dad and he provided for himself-didn't receive government handouts or subsidies...of course that was 1912 when the law applied to everyone.
