Uber Announces Total Gun Ban for Drivers and Passengers

Uber has just announced a total gun ban for all Uber drivers and all passengers using the service, regardless of state law.

Having to disarm myself to ride in a rolling "Gun-Free Zone" makes me extremely uncomfortable. I am so uncomfortable about this rule that I am canceling my Uber account and deleting the Uber app. I will not use your service as long as the rule is in place.

UBER promotes itself as an internet/software company so why should it want to restrict it's customers' legal rights? It's purely a matching service similar to a dating service company like Match.com.

SFO Superior court ruled they are actually employing people who drive their own cars, on their own schedules, in areas of their choosing......

Picking up thousands of employees, even if only in CA, is more than problematic for their model.

As such it appears a nice effort to bolster their leftist positioning. It ought to be interesting......

I've taken rides with Uber and the other ones and was never pat down for a weapon. F em. Taxis are cheaper sometimes anyways.
