I'm actually with Susan Rice on this one. I think this will actually do more harm than good in the long run.

"Today's unfortunate and counterproductive resolution places further obstacles in the path of peace," U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice said. "Today's grand pronouncements will soon fade and the Palestinian people will wake up tomorrow and find that little about their lives has changed save that the prospects of a durable peace have only receded."

Gonna be interesting to see if they are nutty enough to try Netanyahu for "war crimes" now. Fireworks of epic proportions will follow. Personally I just wish they'd take back Gaza and the West Bank and be done with it. God knows they've tried to be reasonable only to be shat upon. :twocents:

There's this guy I know - his name is Israel. He was the victim of a hate-crime several years back and since then everybody sticks up for him and takes care of him. We all look out for him because we all thought he was basically a good guy.

Then we found out he beat his wife, Palestine. Sure she's crazy - and she's even gotten in his face and smacked him in front of people but every time she goes nuts on him, he beats the hell out of her and sends her to the kitchen to make him a sandwich.

At this point we all just want to lock them in a room with each other until they sort things out by Boinking or they kill each other.

Seriously, either outcome is fine but the gas-money and time we spend over there just helping them sort it out is exhausting.

The problem with this analogy is that Palestine is more like a crazy room mate than a spouse. Palestine will come home drunk and boink Israel's cat, and then the next morning wonder why Israel is giving him the evil eye.
