Ok so I was pretty overwhelmed by all the holster options for our shield and saw an ad for versa carry. Picked one up at h&h for 22.85. Very unique and works well. The draw is pretty stiff so practice is essential. Here are pics

Very nice holster pics...some of the best I've seen here.
I have a versacarry that I use morre than anything else. The draw will loosen up slightly. Don't try to drag it out of the holster, a quick snap/jerk and it's out.

Good point. We need to get little missy some kind of tactical belt that she will wear. That pistol feels almost as comfortable on the hip as it does on the hand. Funny that her back side makes it look like a glock 21!

Just bought mine today from Academy. Very, very limited use so far, but based on what little I have carried a gun in it, I think it will make a fine appendix carry holster.

How do you attach it to the gun without pointing a loaded gun at your hand?

I'm guessing you would not have one in the chamber. I would not carry one chambered with a holster like this, it has no type of trigger guard. Makes it a no go for me, I always carry one in the pipe.

I have a couple of concerns about this. (I have not seen it yet in person.) 1. Reholstering - It looks like you would have to remove it from your belt and attach it to the gun. If so, it is a no-go. You should be able to return your firearm to its holster after having drawn and/or fired it with one hand. You may still be engaged in other business. 2. I'd hate to snap that little barrel plug off drawing and then blow my gun up in my hand.

If you are looking to go minimal, something like the ClipDraw at least doesn't bugger the barrel and can be reinserted in your waistband after shooting.
