care to elaborate on the path you took to becoming a millionaire?

Neither a lender nor borrower be... Get out of debt. I will never (knock on wood) be in debt again.

BTW - my 401K was -6.6% for the year. I wouldn't trust anyone who says they get 12% every year. At least not without verification. Then I want to know their financial guy's name, lol.

But I try to contribute near the max (max allowed is 25k) per year. Employer contribution is 10% more. I've had some help along the way with some inheritance which does comprise about 25% of the total. Physical assets count too.

My first purchase at 16 wasn't a car....it was 80 acres. The banker kept asking me why I didn't want a car.

I wanted my own line of credit AND ownership/equity in an investment...not a deduction every time I drove it. I wanted collateral...property for other property.

Rent houses....cattle....mid 1980s Roth IRA.

After I obtained enough property I didn't lease them for money but for hay...put in my barn or pasture...for use to feed the cattle.

Pay an extra payment and it will drop the note fast.

Shop for interest ...like 0% or .9 or 1.9. That's what my wife does for cars. She's not worried about what they "can do for her"...she wants to know what interest they offer. With low interest rates your money works for you..high interest rates make the banker a nice profit. I don't like being an indentured servant to a banker or any loan!!!!

Many other ways to make money.

With money I use these rules...always have..always will.

1. It's not how much you make but how much you can save.

2. I look at money as a tool. It helps me obtain what I need.

3. Know the difference between a need and a want.

4. The casinos I frequent in Vegas...they aren't built on winners. What I spend there is for entertainment..NOT..a quick way to make money.
