Did you notice the date on the bottom of the canvas pouch?

Sorry, the photo isn't the greatest, but I believe the date is actually 1939 (I'd have to pull it out to look).

Side to side, with the exception of the belt at the base, it looks just like a .50 BMG.

Yeah... lots of people would.

I might have a lose round I could sell you, but they aren't as glossy and I don't know what they are realistically worth.

The pic didn't look that big. The big thick rim had me confused. Watched a tank buster segment on the Military Channel the other day where they showed the Boy's anti-tank round.
