On my way in to work this morning, I decided to scan through the radio stations to see if there was anything new I might be missing out on. Low and behold, there was a new one. Talk radio on FM, how novel. But as I’m listening, I find it a little odd. VERY, VERY right wing extremist. “The gov’t is coming for you, Flouride is bad, Terrorists are CIA agents gone rogue, everything is a conspiracy, blah blah blah”, fine whatever. Then during the commercial break it’s all “Do you believe in good people breaking bad laws? Contribute to Civil Disobedience through our fund” and “10 reasons why the Murraugh bombing was an inside job” crap. All my checking online has lead me to believe this is an illegal/pirate radio station(and it’s limited coverage area) broadcasting an internet stream over the airwaves. So we have an illegal station promoting some illegal activities. Here’s the kicker, some local businesses are advertising on this station. I know the owner of one personally and intend to ask/confront him about it. The other is a member here I have written off due to being ripped off in the past. Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t think a business should advertise on an illegal station, and why would you want your name associated with illegal activity and violence/civil disobedience promotion? How are you supposedly a LEO friendly business but support people in going against LEO’s/gov’t? I may not agree with every law that is out there, but I would never wish harm on any LEO much less help someone promote it with my advertising dollars. I’m done.
