A pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon, unless the firearm is a pistol as defined in this section;

So they've taken on the role of the ATF by defining what consitutes a banned weapon in their eyes? This whole thing sounds like infringement. Non-compliance is the only answer if it passes.

Semi-automatics to include 10/22's, mags larger than 10 rounds.......etc, etc.

"Subject: You've seen the truth, now please stop ESSB 5078!

Representatives,

During today's committee hearing, you heard loudly and clearly from many Washingtonians about the terrible impacts that ESSB 5078 (magazine ban) will have on our state, from sportsmen to store owners to those who simply want to be able to defend themselves, and want their children and grandchildren to be able to do the same.

Please take the testimony that you heard to heart; this truly is a hurtful bill, and should not become law in Washington.

Please oppose ESSB 5078, and do not move it out of committee.

Thank you"

This may be WA, but if we are not vigilant this can come here too. Gun control is like cancer, it spreads if not stopped. The East Coast, the West coast fell like dominos. The cancer will now move inland. Watch your 6, and your 9, and your 12, and your 3. Don't give up, and hold your ground. Support the political people that are on our side. We may not have money, but we have our voices.

This was one of the reasons I left the state but my plans to leave were escalated during the 2020 election. Washington legislators made me a felon with the stroke of a pen.

I retired from the Army as a combat leader for over 20 years out of Ft Lewis and settled into an engineering job in '97. You cannot walk downtown Seattle with and Trump hats, pins, shirts, etc, as you WILL be physically assaulted before you made it a block and police presence does not matter as they will stand by and watch them and make NO ARRESTS. I watched the state sink into total lawlessness and watched as the violent criminals were protected by the city of Seattle and their victims go to jail for protecting themselves. As a campaign volunteer for the Trump 2020 campaign, we had an infiltrator that stole the personal information of all campaign workers and doxed us all. One of the campaign workers had his home broken into and destroyed. They stole nothing to send a message this was an intentional attack on their property and painted anti Trump statements on the halls and living room. The left claimed the campaign volunteer did it to himself for the publicity which is complete BS. I sold my home at Dash Point and moved to Tulsa where we are originally from. My reason for moving was not for our safety as I never worried about that as we are armed. I left for their safety as I would never hesitate to use lethal force against them. Had we stayed, a prison cell would be in my future. There were NUMEROUS times when volunteers are physically attacked when we canvas a precinct as the ANTIFA thugs would come from outside the precincts and assault volunteers. We had to hire private security to protect our volunteers when we knew ANTIFA was going to be there or show up. Although we could carry, it was discouraged as security was provided. I carried regardless.

One of my clients is in Portland, OR. During a business lunch we walked back to the office where I noted that ANTIFA was beginning to form another protest so I got in my truck and left. I did not make it far when my truck was surrounded and they began kicking in my doors and attempting to bust out my window because I honked when one of them threw an object at my truck. As a result, I was armed and I had a choice. I chose to step on the gas and leave, running over one of them that threw her green haired pierced face in front of my truck as I took off. I pulled over once I was clear and called the police who took my info and stated I was being charged with assault. I was given a summons to appear and released. That was 3 years ago. The case is still active and under investigation as the DA's office informed me that they are not charging me now, but may charge me at a later date. I had a security clearance that was revoked because of this investigation that they refuse to close. No clearance = no job. I was fired and was out of work for about 4 months. There are not words to describe the transition to hell that every major left coast city has become.

I want to warn you about many that are leaving the left coast and coming to red states that many of them DO bring their leftist radical politics with them. They are selling multimillion dollar homes, arrive in your cities and towns, then they set to work making the community like the one they left. You can bet that they will find their way on to your city councils as they have the money to self fund campaigns. I know it sounds crazy, but they expect YOU to change. There are many that leave that are very conservative that will be a great asset, but I would say there are as many that are far left nutjobs. They will gravitate to Tulsa and OKC. I know a few that are now around Grand Lake. They left Washington not because their politics that they support ended up attacking them. You would think that would change them, but it has not. From their perspective they are going to do socialism the right way here in Oklahoma.

Very sad...WA used to be an outdoorsman paradise and a haven for gun owners. All those people in King and Thurston counties are mostly from CA and have no roots there. I was a resident for 20 yrs; glad I decided not to retire there.
Were you at JBLM? I retired from there, worked for 0ver 20 years and am now retired to Oklahoma, where I started.

I left before it became JBLM and went back to Bragg. I first got stationed there in 86, and the last time I was there permanent party was 2005.
I retired in 97 before it became JBLM, as well. Before then I was in 7th Inf Div, Light in Ft Ord. I loved Washington state with the exception of a significant number of idiots that are west of the cascades.
