Made the mistake once of pulling my travel trailer thru Dallas on I-35. There was construction in all the worst places. Still don’t know how I managed to get thru undamaged. Well the trailer. Underwear was destroyed. 
If I have to go that way, we take I-35W over by Fort Worth instead of through Dallas.

Take the old highway
Would have been cheaper than gas to just ship through FFLs...not to mention that time wasted.
What's taking you to Glen Rose? I've got a cousin there. We're back and forth fairly frequently.
Watch for dinosaurs, they’re as bad as deer about darting out in front of you.
Tell me how the roads are now. A couple years ago, it was like traveling on an old country road with potholes everywhere.
We will be heading South before long to warmer weather.
HWY 77?
I was down that way for about a week a few weeks ago working at the power plant between there and Granbury. Hwy 67 between Cleburne and Glen Rose is smooth sailing. 144 between Glen Rose and Granbury isn’t bad either, just a little narrow. Those were the only local roads I used.
