Every race, color and nationality has been a slave at one time or another. The Africa-Americans are still slaves and don't know it. In these modern times they are bought with welfare checks and other government handouts to do the bidding of their liberal democrat masters. As long as the liberals have this control over them racism will never be allowed to die.

I think all of us have racist, or at the very least, behavioral prejudices. I remember a couple of fellers at work, one black, and one white. They were in a manager's meeting when the #2 guy in the mill comes in, who happens to be Muslim. This was on 9/12/01. The #2 guy walks to the front and says with a smile, "A lot of capitalists died yesterday." The white man turned to the black man and said, "You know, I thought I had outgrown being prejudiced." The black man replied, "I thought I had too." It's all too easy to take that negative feeling created by the Muslim and apply it to all Muslims.

I don't even know anyone of the Muslim faith. I do know a Catholic Lebanese man who barely escaped Lebanon with his life. He is definitely prejudiced against Muslims. If I'd seen what he saw in Lebanon I probably would be prejudiced against them too.

Here's the code I try to live by: If a person carries his weight then I'll work with him/her. I don't care what color, sex, or religion that person is. If that person doesn't carry his/her weight, then I don't want them on my team. I still don't care what color, sex, or religion that person is. That applies to more than just at work. I'm talking life in general.

It is obvious to me that the definition of racism should be the very first thing posted in a thread of this sort. Just in the few posts already in this thread it is clear that some people do not know what racism is. Clearly defining the word and citing the source will avoid any and all confusion or misconception. It will clearly define ALL context. JB, please do us a favor and do so ASAP. Thanks.

You really don't want to get me started on this.

"Racist" is thrown around out there for the least little thing.

Reverse discrimination is rampant today and everyone is afraid to stand up and speak from fear of being labeled a "racist".

Examples of racism: Black history month. What would happen if someone wanted a white history month?
Wayans brothers movies..whites being called whitey and cracker...we all know what can't be said in white produced movies. I watched a small bit of Blazing Saddles not long ago and there was constant bleeping of the words. The movie "white chicks".

On a recent post, the Spencer Police Chief was identified as being a member of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives.

Did you know there is a Black Firefighters Association?

The list goes on and on. Who is the "racist?"

I agree with this. There is a website called meetblackpeople.com. If white people made that, it would be racist.

I think too many people live in the past and blame history for the differences they have with other people. There is just as much white trash rolling around as with any other "race".

The word "minority" seems to carry some sort of automatic sympathy with it. But what I've seen in recent years, what used to be minority is now majority and vise-versa. So whatever the minority is at the given time, the people in the minority feel they deserve some sort of special treatment.
