Do your research on 40 cal units based on polymer frames……..

reloading supplies could be the better route, but…..what fun is that.

CDNN is a good source for returns - as noted above. something to ponder unless you can do LE discount with brand XYZ, then not so much. Either way, those returns probably have very minimal rounds down range as Cost limits training and qual round counts.

Due to ammo shortage of .22LR and 9MM; my weapons are pretty much pieces of idle metals.
Expecting a tax refund of slightly less than $400.00; don't mind making up the difference to $400.00
So, thought I'll put the refunds to good use. Looking for a reliable handgun - I guess in the .40 / .45 caliber; based on the ammo racks and ammo availability; leaning more toward .40.

Something fun to shoot; any recommendations?

There is no shortage of 9mm.

380 and 22 are the hardest to find (according to several LGS). I've bought 9mm recently.

Probably some sort of M&P in .40 would be efficient. The 4006 is also a very great option!
