Does that mean they didn't send you a new Protac 2L-X, or did you just have an attachment to an old standby?

(Just asking because I carry the same light and I love it, but every now and then the switch is a little wonky...)
It's nice to carry something for years, seeing all the emblazoned battle scars, and remembering each and every one. Or in my case, most of them.

Makes it a little easier to press.
Just for the record, I've been using the snot out of that little Olite around the house, especially in rooting around for stuff regarding the AKM work. Thanks again. Need to buy extra batteries today while taking the AKM for a spin, it wants out of the house.

I suggest Energizer Ultimate Lithium batts. They don't last any longer than alkaline, but they don't leak.

I appreciate that as leakage has killed all prior lights with batteries nowhere near expiration and me thinking the smart thing to do seemed to be replacing batteries after every use if I didn't want a leak.

I recently just picked up the Streamlight MicroStream EDC pocket flashlight. So far I'm a fan of it. The tail switch is quite stiff, but I'm hoping that it'll lighten up with use.

Great light. I keep one on my console in the truck. I grab that thing before I get out, need it all the time.
