Under Okla regulations I believe , hopefully, that most LEO's have some idea what a dirk or dagger is. My question is Bowies. Even knife makers can;t seem to agree what a bowie knife is. I see exact copies of "original" bowies that were used in the revolutionary war being sold. I have seen knives that look like someone put a wooden slab handle on a kabar and selling that as a bowie.
Is there some sort of legal description for them? Does a sharpened clip point make it a bowie? That would be understandable because of it would then have two sharpened edges.
Or is the definition left to the whims of the officer?
