Thank you!Wheel bug. Which is a type of assassin bug.
Interesting, must be why my garden has been unmolested by pest this year.Assassin bugs are predatory insects that are part of the Reduviidae family. They are known for their weapon-like beaks that they use to stab and kill their prey. Assassin bugs feed on a variety of insects, including flies, beetles, and caterpillars. They are beneficial to gardens as natural pest control.
Educate me folks, what is this??
They are "good bugs" UNTIL they bite you or a loved one. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ReduviidaeI’ve always understood them to be “good bugs” and leave them be. Creepy looking sum-batches though
