This is a thread for you to go crazy with,,,
Not crazy like in hijacking it for other purposes,,,
But go crazy in the fantasy that you can afford the gun and to feed it.

Mine would be the FN-P90.

H&H used to have a full-auto one in their rental stable,,,
For 3 (maybe 4) years in a row I rented one,,,
And purchased 200 rounds to shoot.

This was my annual birthday present to myself.

Anyways, back to the P-90.

I've read articles that describe it as the perfect Personal Defense Weapon (PDW),,,
To tell the truth I find it impossible for me to disagree with them.

Small in size,,,
50 round mags,,,
A small but "zippy" cartridge,,,
No magazine protruding below the rifle,,,
And I do love the fact that it ejects towards the bottom.

It's relatively small when compared to other carbines of it's ilk,,,
But I found the ergonomics of the thing to be ideal for me,,,
When I raised it to my shoulder everything fell into place.

Even on full auto it was not difficult to keep it on target.

I first saw the rifle on the Sci-Fi series, Stargate Atlantis,,,
At first I thought it was just some kind of mocked-up prop gun,,,
But I finally did a search and found out that it was a real life fiery-arm.

It was my internet search that had me stumble upon H&H's rental list,,,
People that have never fired a full-auto rifle have no idea,,,
Just how fast one can blow through 200 rounds.

Anyways, I fell in love with the little thing,,,
And even though I could afford one without too much pain,,,
I could never afford to feed the thing enough to make it a worthwhile purchase.

But Dang!

The urge to own one was very tempting.

H&H doesn't have the P-90 on their rental list anymore,,,
Which is probably a good thing now that I'm retired on a fixed income.

I'll just have to be satisfied with my little CZ-512 Carbine,,,
And a 25 round magazine for blasting "Wraith".

What would be your choice of a dream rifle?

For me it's the MG3, all the joys of the MG42 but in in .308, the true dream version would be a modernized retrofit on an original receiver cause brrrt.

Other choice would be a Polish UKM 2000
Dat NATO PKM

I was really hoping that Trump would have removed import restrictions and killed the NFA because PKM variants would actually be affordable.

Tough question for sure.

A very close second, and possibly more practical, place would be a set of Purdey Shotguns. Honestly, I think this is tied with first.

But if we’re talking dream money, it would likely be a nice drilling. While something more modern would be ideal, I would have a very hard time not going after a Lufftwaffe issue Sauer M30 with the full issue kit. I would shoot the crap out of it too.
