It seems like a good day to load em up.
45-70 the only powder I had on hand that loading manual listed was IMR 3031 would not feed through powder measure, nor through trickler. Was only loading 10 cases . Got small plastic bowl & plastic spoon, by the time I was about 1/2 done I was dipping pretty close to 45 grains & dropping on to scale & adding or removing wee bit. Any body recommend ball powder.

Dont remember brand of powder measure but it was to erratic to use & would not feed through trickler.
That’s this evening for me, 45-70, easily my favorite caliber. Easiest I have to load as well. What bullets you putting in em?
My daughter bought me the pretty, shiny, bright Lyman Brass Smith for Christmas. I couldn’t get anything close to consistency out of it, plus it can barely cut H4350. Went back to my $20 Lee plastic one, it is head and shoulders above the Lyman, and accurate to +/- .1 every throw. If it hadn’t been a gift from her I would sell it and buy an extra Lee lol.
Should be a nice week for it. I’m going to my buddy’s range this weekend for testing. Loading up 100 - 6.5 cm (Man Bun), and 100 - 45-70. Also gonna play with my Heritage .22 rev.
