I can tell you one thing, the company I work for is spending $20,000,000,000 ($20 with a B) developing the Marcelus / Utica Shale area! Building the assets do not to receive tax incentives, but operating the assets do. Once the assets are operating they are place in an MLP. The MLP receive the tax incentives.

Wow! Cool! Most of that development will require gas compressors and I can build them. I also support NG for anything folks need it for including CNG as a motor fuel. CNG is cool for fleets of trucks, buses, etc but for cars it's not so good because you can't get a fuel cell that holds very much CNG into the small cars we drive now. A fuel cell approximately 16" in diameter and 4' long (and pressurized to 3500 pounds) holds the equivalent fuel as 10 gallons of gasoline. It's kind of hard to find a place for enough fuel cells in the car for the car to have a long travel range...as a dedicated CNG vehicle. So, the successful ways is to have a dual fuel car.

Be cautious of the shale play claims. Ask the folks in fort worth area how those reserve numbers can be over stated. Also at the current gas prices the wells themselves are barely justifiable . However these big companies have to keep the machine running. There are alot of people at Chesapeake that need something to do.
