What's the deal with egg prices ?

It wont be long at the current rate that an egg will cost a dollar. Someone needs to start a rumor that there is an abundance of chickens particularly hens and hence, a plethora of eggs hitting the market-and see what happens.

It's simple supply and demand. Currently the supply has been crippled by this avian flu.
Economics 101.

I'm a loyal Crest patron. Their store brand marked 1 dozen eggs were 75cents higher than the Eggland. I like the Eggland band so that's what I bought.
Brother used to have chickens and those eggs were mighty fine.

Sams has them at 6.00 for 18. We got chickens a while ago. Never buy another egg again and they're fun as heck to watch.

I went to Aldi today in MWC and the same eggs that were $7.80 per dozen last week were $4.80 per doz today.

bidetflation. At least we are not in the extremely free and peaceful state of new zealand. 75% cut in egg production. Cuts in all forms of food production. Not going to end well.
