Title says it all. Found one that maybe become mine. Its a new model .44 with 7 1/2" and the squared trigger guard. not sure on age but has the billboard on the barrel. It looks to me in very good condition.

What say ye, osa? Whats one worth...

600 easy. Might get it for less. Even if you pay 600, that's a fine handgun that will never let you down. If you don't get that Ruger, you're always going to wish that you had.

I think $600 is a bit too much, unless recently the market for the Super Blackhawk has changed, and I didn't notice.

The "Blue Book", if you can believe that, states the value is $550 at 100%, and $395 at 98%.

Thats quite a jump for just 2%. Yf you dont mind going back and looking in "the book" what are some other values, maybe 95% and 90%. I have not yet seen it in person but looks good in the pics (but so did the semi-blind date my buddy hooked me up with once...good from a far, but far from good) and and would rather be informed than missled by the seller.

95% is $300

90% is $240

80% is $220

70% is $185

60% is $160

In my opinion, the BB is a good starting point for values, but one should go more by the local market value when that can be determined.

In my book a new model SBH in excellent condition is about a $450 gun.

Git that magnum, Becker!

0311,
Already got a model 57 smith .41 mag and a contender in 45-70...not real sure why I need a 44 beside the fact that I like that factory ammo is easier (at times) to find in the event I need to buy it.

Oh and Thanks Old Phart! I was thinking 400-450 for it. May try to check it out this weekend.
