Growing up in Arkansas , I saved my money for a long time and had my dad buy me a sako 308 at rush sporting goods in Russellville ar .. 750 around 93 or 94 only began a love affair with high quality nice rifles ! Kinda wish id let him talk me into something cheaper. NOT REALLY !!!!! Still have it and it still shoots as good as it looks.

If I remember right, My dad put a model 60 on layaway at Otasco, and I paid it out. I miss Otasco.

I don't know what this "Otasco" thing is, but I used to visit Oklahoma Tar (that's Tire with feeling) -n- Supply. :)

I didn't buy my first gun, I won it at the Duck's Unlimited Banquet as a junior :) Nice little 20 gauge H&R Topper Ducks Unlimited Greenwing Special.

First gun that I bought myself was a beauty of a little alloy frame Star PD compact .45. Love that gun!

Otasco was like a little Wal-Mart, before Wal-Mart. You could buy anything in that place. I think Wal-Mart killed them.
