My son has returned from the AirForce and needs a job.
Currently going through a divorce, has transportation.
He is looking for a job just about anywhere.
Any suggestions.
Another thing, anyone ever fill out the application for Target?
How do they get away with asking some of those questions?

When I got out, I found that there is usually preference given to military veterans when applying for city and state jobs. All you need is a copy of the DD-214.

You can look at some of the jobs on the state website and even fill out an online application.

http://www.ok.gov/opm/State_Jobs/index.html

I'm now curious. What kind of questions did the Target application ask?

What did he do in the AF?

If he was recently honorably discharged (within 3 years, longer if he's rated at least 30% from the VA)...he can almost "walk-on" to a lot of Federal jobs, if he knows where to look and who to send his resume to. The FAA, for example, bumps 5 and 10 point vets to the top of the list when it comes to hiring.

He had 2 years of the auto tech. He has no problem working on cars and actually seems to pick it up easily.
He was security forces in the Air Force. Worked in food service for a year or 2 during and after high school.
He can make friends with anyone.

Target app questions.
What percentage of politicians are honest?
How many people cheat on their taxes?
There were actually about 10 pages of questions like these.
Kind of reminds me of the psyche test for the PD.

He has his DD214 and Honorable discharge.
We've been a bit out of sync because he is going through a divorce, the holidays and 3 totalled cars in the last 2 months.

The good jobs and money are in the oil and gas business. A young man I know was an auto mechanic and he got on with an oil company and now he flies all over the US performing repairs on oil rigs and equipment and makes a ton of money.
