Ok I am limited on budget and need a bigger safe. So I narrowed the choice down to the Stack on 64 + 4 or the Cannon 48. This was simply due to price and black friday.

Cannon 48: 600 lbs, 1 year labor lifetime parts, lifetime replacement from fire, flood theft

Stack on 64: 520 lbs, 5 year warranty from defects to include digital key pad, then life time from fire, flood, theft replacement.

which one is better? also if you have an alternative in the same price point please let me know. I was looking for a winchester, or liberty but they are much smaller for this price point.

i have sold both. go with cannon. great customer service if you need it. had a customer that had a fire in a mobile home, 2 safes were all that was left. guns were charred from heat. cannon replaced safes within 2 weeks.

My friend was in the same spot a few years ago when looking for an entry level safe and he bought a Cannon from Atwoods. Solid enough and he has never had any problems with it. So of the two I would go with the Cannon.

if guns were charred from heat makes me think their fire rating wasnt very good.

fire rating on safes are acheived by lining safe with 1 or 2 layers of 5/8 fire rated drywall panels and a seal on the door . a direct fire will turn a safe into a oven given enough time and heat.
