@coolhandluke , what the specs and DOM of that beauty?

It's a 1946 production Oyster Perpetual (Bubbleback), reference no 3131 in 14k yellow gold. The watch was originally purchased new by my friend's father after he ended his military service (WWII Army veteran). My friend isn't sure if the watch was purchased in Europe or in the US. Based on the manufacturer date, I'm assuming it was purchased here in the states (unless he was one of the last serviceman to return in early 1946).
