From the looks of that, you better be more concerned about your butthole.

The only service rivalry thing I ever say, which generally gets a laugh from Marines (including Marine ex-brother-in-law), is to say I wasn't stupid enough to join the Marines, wasn't smart enough to join the Air Force, and so I joined the Army.

Had a cartoon on my tool box at an Air Force base which got laughs from Airmen, where it showed an Army private standing in the rain and saying, "This sucks," then a Ranger standing in rain and up to knees in water saying, "This really sucks," and then a Green Beret up to chin in swamp water in the rain with snake clenched in teeth saying, "I LIKE it when it sucks," and then an Airman in a recliner saying, "This sucks, the remote control quit."
Yes we proudly called it the Chair Force for a reason.

After finishing shopping at the TAFB Commissary we heard engines starting up. I was able to position us along the fence by the north end of the runway. This rewarded us with a perfect view of a Sentry at full stop. Soon it went to full military power and sped down the runway, trailing smoke and lifting into the dimming southern sky. No pics lest I run afoul of local SF patrols.

Took this one out today for the errand runs. I may bring it tomorrow night and tease @surjimmy with it.

They were just about as loud on the inside and those Pratt&Whitney engines had a very distinct wine, as do all engines, that has left me almost unable to hear anywhere near that frequency anymore but to this day even after an entire career flying on those E-3’s I still stop and watch every time I see one flying.

After spending the last 15yrs of life working on their birds at RAFB, and post-9/11 them no longer going offshore to go supersonic but instead doing it over rural areas such as where I lived, I still cringe every time I hear them infrequently passing overhead here near the Arkysaw border. As for loud, a U-2 is right up there.
When I first read your inside vs outside comment, I thought, "Now THAT'S trimming engines!".

A cheap one. She'll rip off your right arm and beat you with it to get your Rolex on your Left Arm. Nice girls look better and don't care about your watch.

My other suggestion as to what watch to wear was going to be that he wear whatever he didn't mind being taken from him. Great minds etc etc etc.
