Ah, thanks for the edification ;)

I'm toying with the idea of getting my first J-frame, a M&P 340 CT. I have large hands, so the thicker grip isn't an issue for me.

I'm curious though - why would someone want an exposed hammer for CCW, especially if the revolver rides in a pocket holster? I mean, I can understand the advantage of an exposed hammer for careful, directed single-action fire, but I'd imagine in many (if not most) SD incidents, the defendant isn't going to be thinking about such niceties?

I carry either a model 637 or a model 36 almost everyday. I have a Kimber 9mm that I carry occasionally, but I've had alot more training and experience with the snubbies, so I usually stick to those.

I carry a 642 in a Galco Glove ankle holster almost everyday. I love that gun!

I LOVE my S&W model 36. Its a great little piece. There is just something about all steel. MMMmmmmm....

Not as light as the airweights, but no heavier than a G26.

I recently sold a M-34 4", M-36 2", and a M-36 SB 3". All were old guns in great condition and I'm sure I will grow to miss them. I would love to get an old Nickle .38 airweight Bodyguard.
