what do you like, dislike, etc. Any issues? ballistically, it looks like a great round. Not a common cartridge, but you could load for it or ammo can be found for about .50/rd for fmj, so not too bad. Thoughts?

I've never had a model 38, but I do have a model 37.

The 45 GAP is the same bullet that is used in the ACP. The case is the same length as the 9mm. The ACP case can NOT be trimmed down to safely work in a GAP. If you're a reloader, you can use the ACP dies. Just need to adjust them accordingly. The case uses a small primer. Factory ammo can be found if you just do a google. Magazines may be a little hard to find.

I have owned the 37,38, and 39. By far the 38 is the one I would pick if I was going to have a 45gap. Now you have me thinking I might need to get another one. Great shooters and easy to control. The round just never caught on.

I have a Glock 37 and 39 -- Bud's had used Glock 39 magazines for $9.99 ( the shipping on 3 magazines was $10.00) I found used Glock 38 magazines on Ebay for $14.99, haven't seen any great deals on 37 magazines. The cheapest factory ammunition I found was Ammunition Depot -- Speers 200 Grain FMJ for $18.97 for a box of 50 (Its police trade-in ammo):

The Remington 230 Grain FMJ is $21.97:

The sizes are the same as the 9mm, 40, and .357 Sig models.
The caliber though I think is pointless.
Why make a "weaker" 45ACP (technically speaking)?
I've never seen a point in 45GAP.
