Why, 94.7...why?

When I patrol at night, my favorite radio station to listen to is 94.7 The Brew. I think they play the perfect combo of classic rock, alternative and grunge. I was just listening and they played this big long commercial about how they are now becoming The Ref, a new sports radio talk show.

:pissed:

I'm not a huge sports fan. I don't enjoy watching sports on television and I despise listening to sports on the radio. So now, I gotta find another station to enjoy. Sadly, I've searched the dial and I can't find a station that offers what The Brew did. They either play too much kiddy pop music or too many dead guys. I like stuff like Kiss, Skynyrd, SRV, Nirvana, Judas Priest, Motley Crue, ZZ Top, The Doors, STP, Soundgarden, etc. No other station I've found plays all that.

Sorry guys and gals. I just needed to ***** for a minute. :grumble:

Man they did the same thing to krxo back in the day! I guess there are enough guys who get mad and break their tv’s during games, to make sports radio a viable option still!… how do you feel about the KATT?

I haven't listened to the KATT in years. In high school (80s), that was THE radio station. They were the only ones who played stuff like Van Halen, Aerosmith, Boston and a host of others. Last time I listened, I don't think I recognized anything they were playing. Plus, they bullsh!t on there way too much. I hate talk radio. Say a little something, but then move on with more music.

XM Radio. That is what I finally did to at least have some variety of 70’, 80’s and Hair Band music.

It's God's way of saying you need to start listening to classic country.

I have a XM tuner in a cradle mount in my 13" Fiat that plugs in a cigarette plug I put under the seat and it is plugged into an aux jack in the glove box. The antenna sits up on the dash by the windshield. It works real well. My wife's Fiat has a Beats system with a XM tuner.

I have XM in my truck, but I doubt that my agency is gonna spring for it in my patrol car.
You can activate a portable unit for a small additional fee on your bill. Then you can take it anywhere. We use ours in the boat and you can even play it through a boom box with a cassette tape adapter.
