Everyone is falling into party lines and arguing the typical R versus D debates. I'm a registered Republican, but that's just because of I agree with Republicans 50% while I agree with Dems 40%. Plus this state has no respect for third parties. Seriously let's argue about issues, not about my party v. your party. They suck equally!

it says to me that Independant voters see thru the bullshiz of partisan politics, media hype and generally understand that politics requires comprimise.

Unlike Repubs or Dems or even Libertarians, Independants are not waiting for a savior to run for political office, rather we want a government that is moderate in political thought. We expect politicians to to represent the state or district they come from and vote accordingly.

"Killling unborn babies" is an extremely emotional play on words. The abortion debate is an extreme debate. One the one hand there is the concern for the unborn and on the other there is the right of a woman to chose what to do with her own body. It is a no win debate. Frabkly, men should stay out of it.

Saving convicted murders is another extreme emotional statement. Many, many people, including the majority of very conservative anti-abortion Catholics are against the death penalty. Personally, I am all in favor of it. It should be expanded to cover rape and child molestation.

Obsessed with protecting the 1st amendment but insist on using the second amendment for toilet paper?.

The 2nd amendment is worthless without the 1st. What's the point of having arms, if you can get into legal trouble for what you say?

There are some very anti-gun Democrats. They are people who sincerely believe that private ownership of firearms is a dangerous and bad thing. Some except out sporting firearms. These folks are sincerely and 100% wrong in their beliefs.

The gay marriage issue is another wedge issue. However, I don't think advocating tolerance for Muslims is tantamount to accepting their beliefs. Gay marriage out to be a state by state issue.
