Why do so few gentlemen remove their hats indoors anymore?

Because there aren't many gentlemen.

Seriously, though...wasn't this an issue with the Trayvon Martin thing where a Congressman was wearing a hoodie on the House floor? At least some folks spoke up about it then. Most older generations will slap it clean off your head if you're wearing one at the table. Church? Seriously? A male wearing one in church would never fly where I came from.

I don't why you are so bent out of shape over it. Our president will not even honor the national anthem. Why I gotta tip my hat?

Agree with sbeebe on wearing in church. I would catch a hnd to the mouth from my grandma, and another if I said anything about it.

Well, since you're the kind of guy to use the word "pecadillo" in a sentence looks like it makes sense you would wonder about men wearing hats indoors. Does it also bother you if a man wears spats to a casual afternoon tea?

Kidding of course. I'm still hung up on opening doors for women when out in public. Kind of bugs me when I see a man just waltz right through a door with a woman tagging along behind.

Times do change, but manners shouldn't. It's sad how so many guys nowadays will not remove their hats when sitting down to dinner indoors, especially in public places. Or neglect to open doors for the ladies and old folks.

I know, I was at burger king and could not believe someone would sit there with their hat on! j/k.

Why is it a point to hold the door open for women and not hold it for everyone? Common courtesy not women courtesy.

I think yes sir/no sir is more of a southern thing.
