The new normal: First day of open carry after one of my troops was threatened at a local McDonalds while in uniform - he was assumed to be a Trump supporter, never asked. 28 years of service so far, plenty of deployments, first time wearing a weapon in the open for defense in my own country. Wish I could say that this was uncommon. Many of us have done everything to make it through deployments in one piece only to get zapped at home.
