We caught one on surveillance tape a couple of weeks ago, as it casually walked near the parking lot of the casino I work at, in Thackerville Oklahoma. Our location backs right up to the Love Valley WMA. There is absolutely no doubt that it was a mountain lion. Just last week at about 9 in the morning, something chased a large bobcat up a tree, in the location where the mountain lion entered the tree line. The bobcat went as far up the tree as the limbs would hold it, and didn't come down until our security vehicle approached. I went to my truck to get my binoculars for a better view, so I know it wasn't dogs that put the bobcat up the tree.
Several years ago, I was at Buffalo Mountain in Talahina, and one of the hang glider pilots I know, told me about flying up and down the ridge and observing a mountain lion out sunning on a large rock as he passed over it multiple times.
