Picked up a model 1894 Win model in 30-30 dated 1983. Paid $400. Good deal? It's in 90% shape. Not a mark on it and the barrel, action and rifling is in supreme shape. Came with a cheap bushy, but I can replace that.

Cool! I have a youth model Marlin that I would have sold you. But you may not have wanted a youth model.

I had one of those 30-30s in the mid 80's. It was actually the first rifle I ever purchased myself. Mine would not group, as the barrel heated up the worse it got. I traded it for a Savage 243, which I wish I still had. The Savage went away when my daughter needed diapers.
