Hey All,
Throwing out a few questions concerning the Win-1895, "new version".
What I mean by "new version" is(is being made 2010 production...don't understand when I thought Win-quit making rifles) or was the ones made in Japan before Winchester folded.
The reason I'm posting and asking is that, about 15 years ago I got to handle one at OSA(Outdoor America) and was going to buy it. For some reason I can't right now remember, I didn't buy this rifle and now have a chance to buy one or several....new in a box. The G1 grade, not the fancy inlaid version..nor the commerative...don't like those.
So, does anyone own(or owned) a Win-1895, Grade 1...yes,made in Japan, 30-06?
If so,how does it shoot? Fit and finish solid and holding up? Pros and Cons on this rifle.
Here is a picture as an exampleof the Grade 1:
Thanks!!
