WMA, hunt anytime or draw only?

I'm interested in doing some public land hunting during rifle season, I heard they shut down for draw only. True?
I've never hunted public, so not sure on all the details but I'd like to go somewhere maybe one weekend and try it out. My lease isn't looking promising this year so I want to have a plan B just in case.

Not all WMA's are shut down. Read the above link about WMA's in your area. That should help get you started for sure.

From what I found on that link, the following WMAs are open to rifle hunt for all of rifle season:
Eufaula
Honobia Creek
Hickory Creek
Keystone
Lexington?
Love Valley
McClellan-Kerr
Oologah
Ouachita
Ozark Plateau
Skiatook
Sparrow Hawk
Tenkiller
Texoma / Washita
Three Rivers
Wister

Can anyone recommend one of these over the other?

What I don't get is the WMA's that have rifle ranges but do not allow rifle hunting, such as Pushmataha. Seems kinda dumb to me.

All of Push Co is a rifle range, why do you need one where you're hunting?

Kaw shows to only be open during the first nine days for deer gun. I was just listing the ones open the whole rifle season cause I don't know when I might be going.

Eufaula looks to be the closest one to okc, has anyone ever hunted out there?

i've seen some decent deer come off eufaula. get as far off the beaten path as possible or access areas via boat. good luck!
