I watched men's college baseball and women's softball for decades. I used to buy full session tickets to the Big 12 Baseball tournament each year('90's and early 2000's). Every year as a returning session ticket buyer my seats would progressively get better and better. The last couple of years I had front row seats behind the plate with a clear view of the plate on righties and lefties. I loved going down to the Brick all day for days with friends and family and relaxing all day and night.
At this same time I was starting to go to the WCWS because it was local. I always wanted to go to the MCWS but never made it to Omaha. The girls are absolutely electrifying to watch. Relaxing is not the norm. They bring excitement to every big play where as it is the expectation of the men to make the play and play it cool like they been there before. The girls are in the same boat as the boys but they can't hardly contain their enthusiasm. This becomes contagious to the crowd and the whole place lights up. Maybe because women are more emotional their reactions to a routine double play are more boisterous and animated. For whatever it is it sucks you into the game more, especially in live attendance.

If it weren't for the chanting in softball, I'd say I like watching it more than baseball. The chanting keeps me from going and watching softball in person lol.

Agreed. It's hard to believe that these young women sound like little league teams at times. Especially considering that they just came from a Frat party drinking the night before, the day before that they were in the weight room and taking shots ??? in the office.

That and the boom box at my granddaughter’s games drive me insane.
