Want To Buy WTB......1911 grips.

Looking for a set of wood checkered grips for a full size 1911 (RIA) to replace the smooth factory woods grips that came on the gun.

I know 1911 grips can be purchased from a ga-zillion places but figured someone here may have a decent set of take offs sitting around collecting dust that they might want to part with.

The gun (pictured) has a ambi safety but it looks like regular grips without the ambi cut would work.

I can do cash or swap for factory 9mm, .38 Special, .357 Mag or 45 ACP ammo if need be.

I have a pair of wood aftermarket checkered full size 1911 grips but they have a plastic Colt emblem on them

You're welcome. They aren't an expensive set of grips. I found originals for my Colt so I changed them. They aren't going anywhere so if you can't find what you want, I'll make you a deal.

Met with @okierider this morning and he gave me what look to be a brand new set of wood checkered grips for my RIA.......they look and fit great on my gun.

Wow, I was going to offer to sell you my set of home made grips for $100. Made them myself, they are probably worth about $15. I guess this means @okierider gets my "Mr. Congeniality" award....
