Also, not all of the bullet vises had swivel bases. If you want swivel obviously keep an eye out for one but the one above may not be missing the swivel, it may not have come with it.

I think if it has a "N" on the end of the part number, it was a non swivel and if it has a "S" on the end of the part number it was a swivel.
350N = 3.5", stationary/non swivel
500S = 5" jaws, swivel

I didn’t know that. I have seen several with broken swivel bases over the years. It seems to be the weakest point. There are a couple on eBay now with one of the mounting ears broken.
I do need it to swivel though. I’ll edit my original post.

I learned quite a bit during my search for a Wilton vise.
What I was looking for is considered a machinist vise. The combo and mechanics vises are similar but not nearly as heavy duty as the machinist vice. The machinist vise is the only one Wilton still manufactures in the USA.
As pointed out earlier, they were available with and without the swivel. The model is designated but a S or N.
The 3-1/2” and 4-1/2” versions have been discontinued.
These things are HEAVY and expensive when new. A 6” is just over 150# and almost $2000 new.

I found one in really good shape and was able to pick it up this weekend. I’d still like to find a nice 4”.

I have three of them, as well as a 6" vise that I don't remember the name of. Balco or something I think. Very old.
Two don't swivel by design but the third does. All mounted on benches.
