Yep. Carry one on duty. I love the hell out of it. Get a prp drop in trigger kit. Makes it a sweet shooter.

ive got the 9mm version, done the powder river match trigger job, extended mag release, really cool to see how to release a mag like all u rightys out there, and i did my cool dragon stipple job on it. shot 150 rds or so before the trigger and imho, springfield knocked it outa the park. i added a titanium striker and polished every moving part inside the gun as well, cant wait to shoot it with the new goodies! im 1911 all the way but needed a 9mm and semi auto shotgun so i sold a 1911 ,para p18-9, then got both. im gonna get the .40 or .45 possible in the future. ive tried glocks but for a plastic gun, springer sold me on the xdm competition

I have the XDM9 and the XDM45. Both have been reliable and shot everything I've put through them. The XDM40 is the next thing on my list.
